Georgia Tech has more players on the Senior Bowl watch list, seven, than any other ACC team. The pre-draft all-star game has released a list of more than 350 seniors who are candidates to be among the 110 to play in Mobile, Ala., in January before hundreds of NFL scouts, coaches and executives.

For Tech, guard Trey Braun, safeties Jamal Golden and Demond Smith, defensive tackles Adam Gotsis and Jabari Hunt-Days, B-back Patrick Skov and cornerback D.J. White are on the list.

The ACC team closest to Tech is Florida State with six, followed by Miami with five. It is not, of course, a list of the 350-plus best NFL prospects in college football. For example, there are no players on the list from Pittsburgh, whose roster includes running back and reigning ACC player of the year James Conner and wide receiver Tyler Boyd, the first player in ACC history to record 1,000-yard receiving seasons as a freshman and sophomore. Both Conner and Boyd are juniors, and neither would be a surprise early entry to the draft.

Regardless, it is a recognition of the talent assembled on the Yellow Jackets roster. Tech has been widely picked to win the ACC Coastal and will start the season No. 17 in the coaches poll rankings. It’s also a hint that multiple Jackets could be drafted next April.

Tech players have benefited in the last two years from their participation in the Senior Bowl. Jeremiah Attaochu (2014) and Shaquille Mason (2015) both improved their draft standing with standout performances in Mobile.
