Greetings from Dublin, Day 2

Georgia Tech has landed. The Yellow Jackets’ charter touched down Thursday morning, initiating their three-day stay in Dublin that concludes with their season opener against Boston College at Aviva Stadium.

Things to know
1. Souvenir hunters will find an unusual item available at one particular gift shop in Dublin – a t-shirt touting the matchup of “Georgia vs. Boston.”

2. Wednesday, when the Jackets were going through their final workout in Atlanta and boarding their charter to Dublin, two Tech staffers were playing their part to make sure the team’s time in Dublin goes off without a hitch.

3. Boston College coach Steve Addazio knows who his starting quarterback will be – either Patrick Towles or Darius Wade – but won’t reveal his identity before Saturday.

4. Various Jackets players were asked to predict who on the roster will be a breakout player. Answers were various, but B-back Dedrick Mills was a popular choice.

5. Interim athletic director Paul Griffin won’t be making the trip to Ireland. He shared his objectives for the job and other matters in an interview Tueday. Part 1 and 2.
