Paul Johnson gives Georgia Tech video intern rare honor

It’s highly rare that a non-player breaks Georgia Tech’s post-practice huddle, but coach Paul Johnson made an exception Wednesday.

Dylan Floyd, a student assistant with the team’s video department, was given the honors by Johnson at the end of the team’s final practice of the spring. Floyd will be graduating from Tech in May and had interned for the Jackets for the past three years.

Floyd’s job is largely an invisible and thankless task, but an important one in the team’s operations. Prior to Wednesday’s practice, Floyd approached Johnson to thank him for the opportunity, and Johnson returned the thanks at the end of the practice.

Tech plays its annual spring game Friday at 7 p.m.
